Thank you for taking a moment to stop by and share in my journey. This journey started in February of 2009 and I am hoping to stay strong. Every time you leave a comment it truly encourages me to stay healthy. Thank you to everyone who has ever left a comment and to everyone who will leave a comment in the future. You would be surprised how easily you can encourage someone with just a few words. If you would like to see a little bit of where I was, please check out my first post on Day 1. I have been encouraged by so many other healthy bloggers out there as well. This journey will last me a life time because it truly has to be a lifestyle commitment. I also hope that you can be encouraged by my small triumphs. Thank you all for your support!

Super Saturday & Simple Sunday

Hello everyone! I am finally getting back in the groove of writing again after not having the internet for a week! It's amazing how behind you will get once that happens. I've been trying to catch up on everyone's blogs but everyone has so much going on, it may take me a little while. But it does look like everyone is having some good times and eating some good food. So, here we go into this past weekend:

SUPER SATURDAY
This Saturday was pretty busy. It was busier than we planned it to be, but sometimes that's okay. We started our morning off with my last soccer game of the season. For those of you that don't know, I coach a kids' soccer team through a church (which my son plays on) and this past Saturday was our last game. It was pretty rough for me because the team was really starting to mold together just as the season was starting to end. This was my first time ever having to do anything with soccer and I absolutely enjoyed it. Here are some pics of my team:
From L-R: Kristina, Daylie, & Lyric

(From L-R: Tyler (my son), Joel, Lyric, & Kristina)

From L-R: Joel, Tyler, Me, Lyric, Daylie, & Kristina. There are two girls (Allie & Emily) on the team that are on the team that were not in the picture. They missed a lot of games so I don't have a lot of pictures of them. Bummer.

After our last game, the team joined me at my home for an End of the Season Team Pizza Party!! All the kids were very excited about this. They had a great time, which, of course, makes me feel good. One of the parents was so awesome in helping out with party. I didn't ask her to, she just stepped up. Here are some pics from the party:

The Spread of Food. There were 6 pizzas from Little Caesar's. Three were completely devoured (as you can see at the back of the table) and two more were halfway eaten and one full one left over. There were chips which were halfway devoured, Rolo candies which are almost gone, and some chocolate chip cookies. Mmmm..
These cookies were so addicting even though they were only Albertson's brand chocolate chip cookies. I couldn't stop eating them! Just the perfect amount of chewyness!

Of course the kids had a great time playing. We definitely can't forget that part. We had the fooseball table and hockey table out... And of course Dance Dance Revolution!!

(Allie & Daylie: Allie's not in a lot of pictures on the soccer field cause she missed a lot of games but she is a cool kid.)
Tyler and Joel playing on the hockey table
After this party was over we had a few hours of down time where I pretty much just wanted to pass out and go to sleep. But instead of doing that, we decided to try to have a last minute barbecue to help move some of the leftover food out of the house. We just grilled up some hot dogs and served the left over pizza and sides. It was great because otherwise I would have been eating everything on my own. Whew!! And of course all the fun stuff was still out so the adults had at with fooseball, hockey, and Dance Dance Revolution!! Unfortunately, don't have really any pics of this get together. I was being pretty lazy since I was so tired.

SIMPLE SUNDAY

Since Saturday was so packed, I really wanted to take it easy on Sunday. We went to church in the morning and pretty much just relaxed and did nothing for the rest of the day. My son was in trouble so he was stuck in his room so I pretty much just laid down and rested. That was definitely a simple Sunday.
